seat re-uphostery

so, this is my first attempt at reupholstering a seat. i feel pretty good about it.
2$ for all the vinyl, about 10 broken needles in my sewing machine that's scary fast( it's an old singer, goes one way only and is fast as f$%#). i think i am finally getting used to it. looking back, i should have sewed some padding under the diamond pattern to make it puff up a little more.

sportster mods

made some wooden foot peg inserts for my front pegs. kind of a fail- too thin to screw down and slippery when wet. back to the drawing board.

made some doo dads for my sporty. shortened my front fender- 4" front and back. now it looks a little too high above the tire. when i get some time i will take it down to get it right on the tire. im thinking about an inch will do.
wood points cover. lm not sure what kind of wood i used. it was in the scrap bin at work. put some motor oil on it to help show off the grain. i think it looks good.

x-mas

x-mas time is super busy and i try not to buy bs gifts. i always try to make stuff for all those special peeps in my life. this year it seemed to be bracelets, money clips and beer koozies, and a blackberry case for my wife. glad its mostly over. i'm gonna make a few things for those that i did not get a chance to stoke out, then it's back to building my honda chopper.
